In a recently published article, we studied the association between baseline levels of serum circulating vitamin D and the development of frailty among community-dwelling older women. We hypothesized that low vitamin levels may be related to a higher risk for developing frailty; we also thought that cardiometabolic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, may play a role in this relationship.
